How MyPause Compares

If you're comparing MyPause against other menopause supplement brands, don't take our word for anything — or theirs. This page gives you the five checks that separate serious products from marketing, shows you exactly where we stand on each, and tells you how to run the same checks on any brand you're considering.

The five checks

1. Is it on the Australian Register of Therapeutic Goods?

Every legitimate complementary medicine sold in Australia carries an AUST L number you can look up on the TGA's public register. Overseas DTC brands shipping into Australia often aren't listed — which means no Australian manufacturing, labelling or claims oversight. Where we stand: all five MyPause therapeutic products are listed — the numbers, with links to the register, are on our AUST L explainer and on each product page.

2. Are the doses disclosed — per ingredient, per dose?

This is the fastest tell in the category. Many popular menopause formulas list a dozen impressive ingredients without saying how much of each you're getting, or bundle them into a "proprietary blend". Without doses, neither you nor your practitioner can judge whether an ingredient is present at a meaningful level. Where we stand: every active ingredient amount is published on every product page, with dry-herb equivalents for extracts.

3. Are the warnings and interactions stated plainly?

Real formulations have real cautions. A brand that lists Vitex without mentioning hormonal-contraception interactions, or valerian without the liver warning, is either not required to tell you (see check 1) or choosing not to. Where we stand: our interaction notes and warnings are on the product pages in plain language, not buried — because a customer who checks with her pharmacist first is exactly the customer we want.

4. Does the guarantee cover opened product?

A guarantee that requires unopened, unused product is a return policy wearing a guarantee's clothes — you can't know if a supplement suits you without opening it. Where we stand: our 60-day money-back guarantee explicitly covers opened and part-used products, no return required by default.

5. Can you find the company?

A named founder, an Australian address, an ABN, a way to reach a person. Brands that are hard to locate are hard to hold accountable. Where we stand: MyPause Health Pty Ltd, founded by Kathryn Carter, Bondi Junction, Sydney — ABN 51 675 824 343, support@mypause.com. All on our About page.

Where other brands may beat us — honestly

Comparison pages that only score their own goals aren't comparisons. Things you can legitimately find elsewhere: bigger review counts (some global brands have been at it longer and have hundreds of thousands of customers — we're an Australian company with thousands); single-ingredient products at lower prices (if you already know you want just one herb at one dose, a single-ingredient product may be cheaper than a formula); and prescription options — no supplement, ours included, is an alternative to MHT/HRT for troublesome symptoms, and a brand that implies otherwise fails check 3 in spirit.

Run the checks yourself

Take any brand you're considering — including us — and spend ten minutes: search their product on the ARTG, look for per-ingredient doses, read the warnings, read the actual refund policy (not the marketing banner), and find the company behind it. If a brand passes all five, you're choosing between good options. If it fails two or more, you have your answer.

Common questions

Is MyPause better than other menopause supplements?

"Better" depends on what you need — what we'll claim is verifiable: TGA-listed products with published doses, plain-language warnings, a guarantee that covers opened product, and a findable Australian company behind it. Run those five checks on any brand and compare for yourself.

Why is MyPause more expensive than some supplements?

Multi-ingredient formulas at disclosed doses, made in TGA-licensed Australian facilities, cost more to make than single ingredients or undisclosed blends. Where a cheaper product passes all five checks above, it may be a perfectly good choice.

Is MyPause an alternative to HRT?

No. Menopausal hormone therapy, prescribed by a doctor, is the most effective treatment for troublesome symptoms. Supplements sit in a different, lower-risk category — some women use them instead of, before, or alongside medical treatment, and that's a conversation for your GP.

Always read the label and follow the directions for use. If symptoms persist, talk to your health professional.
